Default Durham University - nightlife

Durham's nightlife is not great for those who prefer the monotony of a big city with lots of look-a-like clubs, but there's definitely always something to do at night - a new night club, Loveshack, opened last year (October 4, 2006), and before that there was (and still is) Klute, which seems to be like Marmite - you love it or hate it -

What Durham does have is an incredible range of college bars (most sadly
only open until 2300), jazz nights, plays, musicals, formals and discos etc within the colleges and at university level - and if you ever get tired of all of that, Newcastle is just 10-15 minutes away on the train, which is ideal - close to Newcastle's nightlife without having to live in Newcastle!
